2018
Linx Restoration Services expands permanently into Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, New South Wales and Queensland
Following the positive industry response to assistance provided through numerous CAT Events in 2018/19, Linx Restoration Services expanded permanently by setting up local offices alongside our existing Bay Building Services Teams in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane.
2016
Bay Building Commercial & Specialty is established
In October 2016, and after years of carrying out commercial builder works within the Bay Building Group, a dedicated specialist division known now as Bay Building Commercial & Specialty is formally established to cater specifically to the needs of our commercial clients. This specialist division is set up to carry out small to medium sized commercial builder projects, such as new commercial buildings; commercial extensions, renovations and refurbishments; building maintenance; and commercial building restorations.
2014
Bay Building Services opens first office in Western Australia
In January 2014, Bay Building Services expanded our extensive coverage across Australia, opening our first office in Perth, Western Australia.
2012
Bay Building Group Queensland relocates to brand new office
In August 2012, Bay Building Group Queensland relocated to their brand new office premises in Bowen Hills, designed and built by our very own Bay Building Services team.
Bay Building Services expands into New South Wales
In order to expand our coverage for our valued clients, Bay Building Services expanded in to New South Wales in July 2012 opening our first office in Alexandria, Sydney.
2011
Bay Building Services expands into South Australia
With continued success across both Victoria and Queensland, Bay Building Services expanded in to South Australia in 2011, opening the first South Australian office in Brompton, Adelaide.
2010
Bay Building Group is established
It became apparent that the Bay Building name had a strong positive presence within the insurance building industry both in Victoria and Queensland. A unanimous decision was therefore made to change the umbrella company name from National Restoration Group to Bay Building Group.
Bay Building Services expands Victorian Regional presence
As a result of continued growth and client demand, Bay made the decision to increase our regional presence across Victoria, with offices opening in both Ballarat and Shepparton.
2009
Bay Building Services opens Gold Coast office
Bay Building Services opened the doors of the Gold Coast office in August 2009 to service both the Gold Coast and Northern NSW regions. Having quickly built a strong reputation in Brisbane as efficient and professional insurance building specialists, we could now offer an expanded service area extending from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland to Ballina in Northern New South Wales.

Bay Building Services Victorian Make Safe Division is established
Bay Building Services established an ‘Emergency Make Safe Division’ on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With one phone call a member of our Emergency Make Safe team can be on site within one hour of notification to help minimise damage, ensuring the domestic or commercial property was made safe and secure from further damage.
2007
Bay Building Services’ opens in Bendigo, Victoria
With regional offices in Geelong and Traralgon gathering momentum, Bay opens a third regional Victorian branch in Bendigo to assist in servicing areas such as Echuca, Swan Hill and Mildura.
Bay Building Services’ opens in Brisbane, Queensland
In one of the biggest ventures to be undertaken by the company, Bay Building Services opened an office in Brisbane – our first permanent location outside of Victoria.
2006
National Restoration Group is registered
In 2006, the National Restoration Group name was registered to bring together Bay Building Services and Linx Contents Services.
2004
Bay Building Services’ opens in Geelong and Traralgon
In order to maintain its competitive edge, Bay Building Services expanded into regional Victoria in 2004 by establishing new operations centres in Geelong and Traralgon.
2003
Linx Contents Services is established
In order to offer our clients a fully integrated insurance repair and restoration solution, Linx Contents Services was established in 2003 in order to allow us to carry out a full range of restoration and cleaning services following disasters such as fire, floods and storms.
1994
Bay Building Services Major Projects Division was developed
In 1994, the company expanded its services to the industry by establishing a Major Projects division focusing on large-scale new developments and rebuilds of commercial and domestic property following major insurable damage.
1985
Bay Building Services is born
In 1985 Michael Malherbe opened the doors of the company servicing the Bayside suburbs of Melbourne.
