Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. I have lodged a claim with my insurance company, when will repair works commence?
  2. As soon as your insurance company notifies us of the damage to your property Bay Building Services will send one of their Estimators to inspect the damage and provide your insurer with a report and quotation for repairs. Your insurance company may request quotations from additional building companies, but as soon as we receive authorisation to proceed with works and you return the appropriate paperwork we will contact you and arrange for the first trade to attend and commence works.

  3. There is an excess fee applicable to my insurance claim. How do I pay this?
  4. As a preferred builder for your insurance company, we have the authority to collect payment of your excess fee on their behalf. Please note works can not commence at your property until your excess has been paid.

  5. Repair works have commenced and are underway at my property. Who can I speak to regarding an update?
  6. A personal Portfolio Manager is assigned to manage the works at your property until completion. You can contact them via email or on their direct phone number. Their details are provided to you in the Customer Information Kit we send out to you upon receiving authority from your insurance company to proceed with the works. If you are unsure who your personal Portfolio Manager is, please call our switch board on 1300 766 216 and we will gladly connect you through to them.

  7. Bay Building Services has completed all building repairs at my property but I have accidentally misplaced the works completed form I was sent originally. How can I get another form?
  8. To acquire a new works completed form, please contact your personal Portfolio Manager who will be able to fax, email or send you out a new form.

  9. I would like to provide Bay Building Services with feedback on the works completed at my property. How can I do that?
  10. You can email or call your personal Portfolio Manager with feedback or alternatively you can fill out the enquiries form on the contact page of this website. When leaving your feedback please quote your job reference number (as indicated in your Customer Information Kit) and leave your feedback.
